Come on Derek, we have explained Karaoke before. Why Japanese Karaoke is far far superior to American karaoke....

They also serve Ramen and french fries... but that doesn't make it a diner or ramen shop.

Until you come here and rock out at a Japanese karaoke place, you're just not going to get how excellent it is.
Enjoy your American karaoke, and the 2-3 songs you get to sing each time you go.

I finally listened to this episode on the train ride home,
I agree with Eric, Monopoly should be played with real, fake money, not fake credit cards.
Fringe is a pretty cool show. It is one of the few I actually make a point to watch. (I am now two weeks behind on Heroes or else I would be commenting on it in the other thread). Don't give up after the two hour pilot. The episodes get a lot better after that. The guy who plays the crazy dad of the kid from the Mighty Ducks pretty much makes the show all on his own. And it stars Lt. Daniels from The Wire (and he is on Lost now too, but I can't remember his name on that show)
The 24 movie was pretty cool. It was a nice teaser for a season of 24 goodness.

The dumbing down of people is a scary notion, especially when you think about how dumb the average person is, and that HALF of the population is , By Definition, even DUMBER than that!

Its the same guy. I just thought it be cooler to throw out The Mighty Ducks reference than the Lord of the Rings one. I could see him getting awards and stuff for his role in the show.
