San Fransisco Chronicle reporter Henry Schulman has this to say in his column after the Tigers beat the Giants Tuesday on a huge homer by Ryan Raburn,
"Adding to the wickedness was the fact that Sanchez was beaten not by one of Detroit's high-salaried thumpers, but a .219-hitting scrub named Ryan Raburn..."
What a classless move on the part of a writer who is sick of watching a shitty ball club. Raburn is hardly a scrub. Honestly, most people who make it to the big leagues are not scrubs. It is cool for fans to say stuff like this but to put it in print by a so-called "expert" is a totally unprofessional move. It is one thing for local reporters to have a hometown bias but this was over the line. Raburn would be starting on a lot of other teams in the league, including...lets see...oh yeah...SAN FRANSISCO! Add Henry Schulman to my "no class all-stars" along with Omar Minaya and the Mets ownership.

Well, if the giants had drafted well rather than worring about to do with bonds, maybe than they could have "scrubs" that hit clutch bombs.

The guy sounds like a tool.
If he just wouldn't have called Rayburn a scrub, I probably would not have had any problem with what he wrote.

Someone needs to remind him that half of the Giants lineup are a bunch of scrubs...including that bum Barry Zito.

Look at the clutch bunts we're putting down. Look at the pinch hits we're getting. Look at all the intelligent plays we're making. If the Tigers keep this up, you'll see me lobbying to abolish the DH in the AL.
