So after listening to the show this morning and hearing about Rob wearing the Cubs jersey to the Tiger game, where the Cubs were not playing, I thought it might be interesting to come up with some guidelines to jersey wearing at sporting events. Here are a few I came up with.
1) The Jersey being worn should either be from one of the teams playing at said game. Exceptions include: a) All Star or National teams jersey of a player on one of the teams. b) A Minor league affilate of one of the teams playing, or a non affiliated minor league team jersey of a player on either team. c) A local team playing the same sport in a different league. For example, it would be ok to where a Chicago Wolves jersey at a Chicago Blackhawk game.
2) If your jersey has a players name on it, that player should be either on the team whose jersey is being worn or retired and not currently playing for any team. Although frowned upon, you can wear the jersey of a player currently playing for another team, only if that team is not playing at the game you are at. (See Rule #3)
3) If team A is playing team B, you should not wear a Team A jersey with the name of the player currently playing on Team B. SO if Andres Lilja is playing for the LA Kings when the Kings play the Red Wings, it would be unacceptable to wear a Red Wing Lilja jersey.
Can anyone think of any others?

I think you hit the nail on the head there Jon. Rob was in total jersey violation...now all we need is a set of punishments for the fauxpas. Something maybe like...
1st offense: A round of drinks or appetizers at a later date to be determined.
2nd offense: Dinner for all in attendence within the circle of friends. If only a friend and said offender, than that person must by a nicer dinner for the friend.
3rd offense: Suspension of ability to go to games of that sport for the remainder of the season, including playoffs.
4th offense: several smacks across the head for being so dumb for pulling the same mistake this many times. Lifetime ban on that sport with current circle of friends.
Leniency can be granted for a person who has not been filled in on the rules.
Man law!!!
