As the Tigers enter the last month of a dreadful season (yes, I've finally conceded that the Tigers aren't going to the playoffs), they play another team who's season is nearly over, the Yankees. Currently, it's the bottom of the 4th, 1 out, 2 on and Larish up to bat. The score is 11-8. 11 to 8. 11. To. 8. I think the point of this game stresses how much both team's pitching has struggled this year. Today, it was our "ace" (although I don't think I'll ever call him that again" Verlander versus Ponson. And then we pitched Seay, and finally Lopez. By the third inning. Ponson entered the 4th 11-2, and was removed from the game at 11-5, two on.
Are these pitchers really big league pitchers? I don't know much about Ponson, but this would be Verlander's 15th (omg!) loss. If we don't win, there is only ONE other pitcher with more losses...Barry Zito. How depressing.

Welcome to the club. My Dad is working outside of Kansas City for the next few months and even he did not want to go catch a game when they were in KC a couple weekends ago. NHe was really excited about the Tigers this year He actually bought a jersey and bought the Extra Innnings Package.
I am just hoping they can turn things around a little, so they might have something positive going into next season.
