Since this is junioir hockey, so I do not imagine his will make the news anywhere. I was a penalty box attendant at this game, www.pointstreak.com/prostats/boxscore.html?gameid=784065There were a 3 major brawls and a bunch of minor incidents during the game. There were atleast 4 people from each team that got kicked out of the game. During each of the brawls, the scorekeeper had to go on the ice and conference with the refs just to get all the penalties sorted out. It got a little crazy with the ref running people to the box and then having me close it immediately so that the person could not run back out on the ice. And since it is pretty much all open space between the two penalty boxes, I was in the middle of all the trash talking between the groups in the penalty box. At one time I have 4 people sitting in my penalty box. There was no room on the bench so one of the guys was sitting on the cooler that holds the game pucks. So if all the brawling wasn't exciting enough, after the last brouhaha with the Steel up 6 - 2 with almost 10 minutes left, Green Bay ended up with 6+ minutes of a 5 on 3 powerplay. They scored 5 goales to win 7 - 6. It was a crazy night. I am definitely going to try to work their next game. Especially since near the end of the game, the 2 guys in the box at the time made arrangements to fight during the next meeting. Good Times!

I guess I am going to make this my Chicago Steel thread. I worked two games this weekend. Both games were pretty cool, but no real crazy stuff like last time. But, it turns out the Steel traded for Dean Chelios a week or so ago and since Chris Chelios is out with the broken foot he has been making regular appearances at the Steel games. I did not see him Friday night, but was told that he was there. I did see him tonight.
Maybe next baseball season, Eric will get a job with the Blue Crabs and he can tell us all the interesting stuff going one.
