I know no one really looks at this part of the meassge board anymore, but I feel I need to rant.
Even though I did not get the Center Ice package (thank god or else I probably would have had a heart attack by now), but between the games they show on Yahoo, Versus, the NHL Network, and games on TV when they play Chicago, I get to watch a fair number of games (including the last 2). In the past two games they have had to come back from 2 goals down to win. They are absolutely killing me. I end up getting hacked off at how they are playing so I turn off the game only to come back later to find that they tied the game (I did that last night on Sat I was listening to the game on the XM driving back from Madison before catching the last 5 mins of the 3rd period, OT, and Shootout from home)
What happened to their solid goaltending and their smothering defense? They both seem to have vanished in various stretches of these games. Right now they are basically outscoring everyone, but they are not going to be able to win anything come June.
I know they have only lost 4 games in regulation, but so far this doesn't look like the team that was dominating both ends of the ice last season. Hopefully, they wake up and start playing they way everyone knows they can.

Yeah, they are winning, but they are not winning the way a team wins in the playoffs. It seems they are either blowing a lead or having to come back every game these days. Osgood was really bad during a couple of stretches last year before turning it on during the playoffs so hopefully he can break out of his funk. Basically, the team needs to play better D. It is still pretty early in the season so there is still time to get everything back to normal.
I guess it is still a good thing that they are not playing well and still winning like crazy. THey are just reminding me of teams from previous years who always flamed out in the first couple rounds of the playoffs.
