Time for another Heroes thread, because once again I liked this week's episode and I am going to say why I like it, even if Derek complains, Chad gets bored and Mike jumps on the bandwagon.
First off, I am going to say again that I like that they don't try to cram every character in every episode all the time, like they have been doing, because it lets things develop at a decent pace that isn't overblown fastpaced soap opera action drama.
I'll skip straight to the best parts:
Parkman getting framed was the perfect way to handle the painting thing. We know anything else would have been a terrible plotline for him, but this actually worked out faster than I expected and in a way I expected. It should be interesting to see how it turns out.
Sylar used an ability that we knew he had but never saw him use: the ability to know an object's history (mama patrelli "fed" him the lady with the power in the beginning of the season). Sylar didn't seem to know what was going on either, which made the flashback scenes really interesting. The music was great too. I can't wait to see where he goes with this.
Nathan is losing control, which should make the rest of this season interesting if people figure out what is happening with him.
Claire and aquaboy were pretty hilarious, but I don't want anymore falling in love with the guys falling off the planet anymore. At least this guy has an almost useless power.
No Hiro and Ando this week, nor Saresh or several others, but I am fine with that.
Finally, I'll say it again, I really like the way this part of the season is going. Most of the people complaining seem to want the show to go back to a "disaster is coming we must save the world" arc like the one they fell in love with in season 1, but the other two times they did that everyone complained as well. This arc is doing something different and I like it. I don't care how much you guys whine about Lost being better, because Lost didn't have a premise good enough to get me in season one, and it certainly isn't going to get me now. I like people with Superpowers, and unless they turn this into a WB-style Superkids series, I'm going to keep watching.
Eric needs to get on here and voice some opinions, now that they actually matter.
