So it is game 7 tonight between San Jose and Calgary. If Calgary wins, it is the Wings and Flames. If San Jose wins it will be the Wings and Aves.
If think The Wings can handle both teams, but for my own selfish reasons I'd like to see the Wings play Colorado. People are saying if they play the Aves, games 1 & 2 will be on Thurs/Sat, which means I might be able to go to game 2. If the Wings play the Flames they are saying the games will be Fri/Sun, and I would not be able to go.
Of course it would be nice to see San Jose go done, just so the 2 teams everyone was picking out of the West would be gone in the 1st round.

I agree that the Wings can handle either team that they will face. The thing to rememeber is that we thought that about Nashville too. Nashville, while it was at home, came out and outplayed the Wings in every aspect of the game.
I know many people will just attribute it to Hasek having a Hasek game, but there is more to stopping the puck than the goalie. THere was subpar defense played in games 3 and 4. And I saw the "prevent" in game 6 as well.
When you stop doing what has given you sucess, you will get bit in the end. The Wings saw that in games 3 and 4. All that to say, while either team should go down to Detroit, both can beat them as well if the Wings stop attacking.
I want to see San jose gone too, but I also want them to play the Avs in the playoffs too. Here is a good thought. The Wings play Calgary while the Avs get Dallas. The Avs win and the Wings win. 3 birds with 1 stone. Gone are the Ducks, gone are the Sharks, gone are the Stars and we get to play the Avs in the conference finals. Just a thought.

I guess the other good think that will come of that, as long as we get past the Avs...is that Dallas and San jose will more than likely beat the tar out of each other for 6 or 7 games.
I am hoping that the Wings can put this on away in 5...that would give them another nice rest befroe the Conference finals. Either way, San Jose or the Stars, it is going to be tough. I know that the Stars have Turco, but he has been playing well. And Nabokov is up for the Veznia Trophy...go figure. GO WIngs!!!!

I am JACKED TO THE MOON for this series. Forsberg, Sakic, Foote? SCREW THEM ALL! The Wings are going to have their hands full but I'm sure they can pull this out.
The X-Factor in thie series is Tomas Holmstrom vs Ryan Smith ... whoever has a better series will most likely dictate who wins the series. Both play similar games in front of the opposing goalie.
And I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE FIRST TIME KRONWALL LEVELS FORSBERG! I will mark out hardcore!
BRING ON THE AVS! WOOOOOOOOOOO!
Wings In 6!
